12 Microscopic Bubble Textures

March 07 , 2013

These textures were made using a microscope slide that contained water, dish soap, and coffee grounds. Previous microscopic experiments with dish soap taught me that the ingredient produces very active and kinetic bubble formations. Adding coffee grounds to the slide created the brownish-orange hue you see in this set. I’ve even added a video to this post to show you a brief example of the bubbles in motion. You will see one big bully of a bubble pushing his way through a group of smaller ones.
Each texture is the standard size of 4500×300, hope you enjoy!
