This is the first set in what hopefully will be an ongoing series of textures shot on 35mm film.
This series will be refreshing and unique for a couple of reasons. Using a 30+ year old camera and lens means some unpredictable results, caused by light leaks and some other factors. Previously, I had always aimed to produce the most crisp and clear textures possible. This series is a departure from that philosophy. These textures are far from pristine, they are somewhat murky but still maintain that foundation of texture that is vital. The random and unexpected colors and forms feed into the undercurrent of my more experimental work that I’ve shared on the site in the past and will continue in the future.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions, I’d love to hear feedback and see how you use these. Enjoy!
