The weekend of August 4th-5th was the annual air show at the Westover Air Force Base in my hometown of Granby, Massachusetts. I haven’t attended it in many years, but am fortunate enough to have the base only a few minutes from my house. There was a tremendous display of both past and current United States aircraft, some of which you could walk through and explore. There were modern cargo planes, vintage fighter jets, and even some modern combat helicopters. They are all incredibly impressive and humbling to see in person and up close.
